Matthew A. Rocha-Crabb passed away Jan. 22, 2010. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 30, at the LDS Church at 300 East Main, Weiser. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weiser. He was born Aug. 4, 1987, to Virginia Rocha and Mark Crabb in Ontario, Ore. Matt graduated from Weiser High School in 2005. He joined the U.S. Marines on Jan. 18, 2006. He was very proud to serve his country as a Marine. He met his wife, Lisa Fricke, when he worked at McDonalds. They were wed on Nov. 3, 2007. Together they had three children, Alexis, 2, and twins Bryan and Alyssa, 1. Matthew worked at Bi-Mart in Weiser. He enjoyed his job in sporting goods. Known for his kind and considerate nature, he would go out of his way to say hello. His sister, Victoria Rocha, tolerated his wicked sense of humor. Matthew was an avid target shooter and hunter, and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved playing with his children. He would frequently entertain them as a drummer on XBox 360 Band Hero. Accompanied by his wife as lead singer and his sister on the guitar, they would rock the night away. He excelled at video games. One of his other talents was in drawing favorite cartoon characters and portraits of family or friends. On sunny evenings he could be found in his backyard, where he was developing serious barbecue skills. Matthew was a caring husband, good father, loyal brother and son. He will be missed by all of us who loved and cared about him. Two funds have been established for the benefit of Matt’s family. One is being administered through the kindness of Wells Fargo Bank, Weiser. Contributions may be made in the name of Lisa Rocha. Another, the Rocha Family Benefit Account, is at Intermountain Community Bank, Weiser.
